Frequently Asked Questions

How much does your service cost the school?

Lifepages.com services are always free to the participating school. Students will pay a premium on top of the cost of the regular yearbook for access to our service.

How much does the service cost students?

Each yearbook will cost users a small one time fee. This fee is paid only once per publication and does not recur monthly or yearly. The cost of access is determined by your yearbook program.

How is money for the online yearbook collected?

There are various payment options available for students. Your account manager will work with you to find the payment plan that best fits your school.

What must schools provide to lifepages.com?

Schools need to provide lifepages.com with a completed electronic file of the yearbook as well as a student roster to control access to the yearbook.

This sounds like a lot of extra work for our yearbook team? Who hosts this service?

It’s not! Yearbooks are already created electronically; submitting the completed file to lifepages.com takes only a matter of minutes. Your account manager can walk you through this process. Everything else is handled on our end.

Who hosts this service?

All hosting of the files and our services will be on lifepages.com secure servers. This provides the schools the ability to create an online backup of their yearbook archives without taking up valuable school resources.

The yearbook is a cash-cow for our school. Will the online version detract from our sales?

Each school controls which students may or may not purchase the online version. You can decide to offer the online version to all students or only to those students who purchase the printed version. Your account manager can review all of your control options with you.

Can the online yearbook be used to raise additional funds for our yearbook program?

The lifepages.com service is a great way to raise additional funds for your school or its yearbook program. Increased advertising revenues, increased yearbook sales, as well as school givebacks and promotions are just a few of the ways to raise funds for your programs. Talk to your account manager today to learn how our service can benefit your school.

Are the yearbooks and personal information secure?

Lifepages.com is dedicated to providing the best security possible. Our servers are secure and when using our site any critical information will be encrypted and sent over SSL. The ability to control who may or may not purchase access to the yearbooks give schools just as much control over the online sale as they have over the printed sale.

Is information in my profile private?

Each user will be able to set privacy controls on their profile to manage which groups and individuals may see their profile.

Why can't I use the search function when viewing the yearbook in full screen mode?

At this time, our software does not allow the use of the search function when viewing the yearbooks in full screen mode. To search your yearbook by a keyword, simply minimize the yearbook and perform your search. Once you find your desired page, you may re-enter full screen viewing mode.

Can students "sign" the online yearbook?

Students will have two forums to express their views. Digital Signatures and Digital Comments. Digital Comments will be viewable by all users, while Digital Signatures are viewable only by the individual user at which they are directed.

Can schools create yearbook pages for the online version only?

Schools can create "online only" pages. Simply create the page as you would any other and include it with your digital file. This is a great way to sell additional advertising space without raising the cost of the yearbook! The process takes little time and your account manager can review this with you.

Can parents, friends and family access the online yearbook?

Control of purchase of the online yearbook is dictated by the school. If parents, family or friends would like to purchase the online yearbook, please contact the school to see if it is available to you.

Who do we contact if we have additional questions?

Each school has a dedicated account manager available to answer your questions. Your account manager’s contact information is available in your school’s welcome packet. For other inquiries about our service, please send an email to info@lifepages.com.
